Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Griffin, age 69, died on December 1, 2017 at the Masonic Care Community in Utica, where she had been a resident for 14 years. She was beloved by the staff and through her loving presence, exuberance, friendliness and humor contributed much to the community

Betty was born in Utica on July 18, 1948, attended Hughes Elementary School, Utica Free Academy, and graduated from Mary Burnham School in Northampton, Massachusetts. She was a successful model and once graced the cover of Seventeen Magazine.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Williams Griffin and Frederick Brewer Griffin, Sr. and her brother Frederick Brewer Griffin, Jr. Betty is survived by her beloved brother, Wheaton Ira Griffin II and his wife Eileen Blessing Griffin, her nephew Amos Moses Griffin and neice, Christine Ann Griffin and her husband, Marnin Robbins, and their children Levi Daly Robbins and Sophia Blessing Griffin and her first cousin, Anne Ogden Martin.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Monday, June 11 at 1:30 PM in the Meditation Room at the Health Pavilion, Masonic Care Community followed by a reception. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Betty's honor to the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker St, Utica, NY 13501.
