Obituary

Thomas Zuchowski, 69, of Clark Mills, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

He was born September 3, 1953 in Utica, a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Zacharko) Zuchowski. On April 9, 1975, he was married to Carol A. Posch at Clinton Road Baptist Church. Thomas served as a road supervisor and bus driver for Centro for many years.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol; two daughters, Virginia (Rich) Hutchins of Westmoreland, and Ann (Tom) Dobbins of Clark Mills. He was affectionately known as Pop-pops to his grandchildren, Chloe Dobbins (Sammy Mercado), Bailey Dobbins (Philip Letray), Julia Hutchins, Jenna Hutchins, and Jaycee Hutchins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Deborah Zuchowski, Lyndon Posch (Rebecca Sweet), Ernie Posch, and Darleen (John) Serbaniewicz; and his canine companion, Katrina. Thomas was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Zuchowski, and a sister-in-law, Janet (John) Hubalek.

The family offers a special thank you to Pastor Russ Johnson; the staff of the St. Elizabeth’s ICU for their care and compassion; family and friends for their support, especially close friend Mary Raymond.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 19 from 5-7PM at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford. His funeral service will be on Friday, January 20 at 11 am at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, 6775 Blackmans Corners Road, Verona. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
