Obituary

Souay Phimasone, 75, of Utica, died unexpectedly, January 6, 2021 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation in Schenectady.,

She was born May 3, 1945 in Laos.

Souay had a big heart and was a very caring person to everyone and in turn she was loved by everyone. She loved to cook, she enjoyed gardening, she enjoyed visiting the casino and she loved to listen to her traditional Buddhist chanting. She loved her family, her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Bouakhan; her daughter Soune and family of France, her son Bounnam (Jennifer) and family, her daughters, Phaikham (Kevin) and family, Saykhan (Gee) and family, Noy (Chris) and family, Haikham and her son Luciano who Souay raised and her youngest daughter Elaine (Terry) and family.

The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Sunnyview Rehab, especially to Nikki, Dusty, Cassie and Steve for all their care and concern during and after her stay.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services.
