Sharif M. Robow, age 76, of Utica, New York, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

Born on January 1, 1950, in Somalia, Sharif was the beloved son of Mohamed Robow Keri and Safarey Kusow Arbow. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected member of the community whose kindness and wisdom touched many lives.

Sharif was an active member of the Somali Bantu Islamic Center of Utica, where he was known for his dedication to faith, family, and community service.

Sharif Mohamed Robow was amongst the top leaders of the Masjid, he contributed not only his time, money, and ideas, but also was a leader in uniting the Somali Bantu community. He will be greatly missed and loved forever. 

The family would like to thank Masjid Bilal Islamic Center and the wider Somali Bantu community in Utica.

He is survived by his loving wife Shamso Juma, children, grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends, including Abdullahi A. Jibril and others who cherished him deeply.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Masjid Bilal Islamic Center and the Somali Bantu Islamic Center of Utica for their support, prayers, and compassion during this difficult time.

Prayers will take place at Somali Bantu Islamic Center of Utica, 884 Bleecker St, at 1:15 PM. Interment will be in Bosnian Islamic Cemetery, Cosby Manor Rd, following prayers.
