Ruth Helen Wynne, 93, of the Masonic Care Community and formerly of New Hartford died August 14, 2018.

She was born July 9, 1925 in Utica, daughter of the late Thomas and Jane Williams Wynne and graduated from Whitesboro High School class of 1942.

Ruth worked for International Heater for one year and then at Commercial Travelers Insurance for 47 years retiring in 1991.

She was a member of the former Whitesboro Baptist Church which she joined in 1938, the Central NY Chapter, American Guild of Organists, the B Sharpe Musical Club, PEO Sisterhood-Chapter AV and the St. David’s Society of Utica.

She served as Organist for the Whitesboro Baptist Church, the Clinton United Methodist Church and St. George’s Episcopal Church in Chadwicks as well as a substitute organist for several area churches.

She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Rev. Glenn Kessler and Martha J. Wynne and two brothers George D. and Leonard T. Wynne.

She is survived by a two sisters-in-law Ann Wynne of New Hartford and Dorothy Wynne of Utica; her nieces and nephews, Ruth Malowicki, Ann Etter, Thomas Wynne and Douglas Wynne, several great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of the Albany Unit of the Masonic Care Community for all the care given to Ruth.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at the Meditation Room of the Masonic Care Community. Interment will be in Grand View Cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours.
