Obituary

Rosemary Ann D’Aprix, 47, of Utica, passed away on February 3, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

She was born October 31, 1978, in Utica, the daughter of the late Brian and Carol D’Aprix. She was raised in Schuyler and attended Whitesboro schools.

Rosemary is survived by her significant other, Gary Haire; her children, Brian Hall and NeTanya Hall; her sister, Tanya Wheeler (Fred); her brothers, Michael Kowalski and David D'Aprix (Shannon); their children (nieces and nephews), Devon, Ian, Kathleen, and Emily; and cousins Carrie Wagner (Wayne), Charles D'Aprix (Martha), and Aaron Piper.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Crystal Hall; her maternal and paternal grandparents; uncle Charles D'Aprix and his spouse, Gretchen; uncles Frank and Leonard Kowalski; aunt Kathleen D'Aprix; and great-aunt Margaret Gilloren Davis.

Rosemary lived life on her own terms and often led conversations with humor. She had a sharp memory for details, remembering the most random dates and events from the past like they happened yesterday. You could often find her looking for new recipes to try or working diligently on her current diamond painting project. She cherished her role as a loving mother, and her proudest accomplishment was raising her children.

In the words of Winnie the Pooh: “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever.”

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Wynn Hospital ICU and the staff of The Oneida Center for their gracious care and compassion for Rosemary.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 1-3 p.m. at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica.
