In Loving Memory of Rose Marie Cotrich

June 16, 1970 – September 4, 2025

With heavy hearts, the family of Rose Marie Cotrich announces her passing on September 4, 2025, at the age of 55. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Rose left us far too soon, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Born on June 16, 1970, Rose was the second of five children to Natividad Roman (predeceased) and Manuel Cotrich. From an early age, she embodied quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering loyalty — qualities that defined her throughout her life.

Rose’s greatest joy was motherhood. She devoted her life to raising her three sons — Anthony Montalvo, Emmanuel Cotrich, and Fabian Cotrich — who were her pride, her purpose, and the center of her world. She stood by them through every challenge and triumph, offering unconditional love, strength, and support. Her spirit lives on in their lives and in the values she instilled.

To her siblings — Manuel Cotrich and sister-in-law Karen, Matthew Roman and sister-in-law LaTasha, Thalia Cotrich-Brewer and brother-in-law James, and Towonda Wells and brother-in-law Levan — Rose was more than a sister. She was a confidante, a protector, and a constant source of encouragement. Their bond was unshakable, built on shared memories, laughter, and love.

Rose cherished life’s simple, beautiful moments. She had a passion for photography, gardening, movies, and traveling — especially when those moments were shared with loved ones. Her home was always open, her heart always giving. She lived with grace and generosity, offering comfort, kindness, and love to everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her sons, siblings, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, all of whom cherished her deeply and will carry her memory forward with love.

Though she is no longer with us in person, Rose’s legacy endures in the lives she touched. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her strength will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Rose. You will always be loved, missed, and remembered.

The funeral will be on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Calling hours will be on Friday, September 26, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
