Obituary

Rosalind “Rosie” Watkins, 67, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at her home.

She was born on December 8, 1958, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Richlin. Rosie graduated from UFA High School and Utica School of Commerce. Throughout her working years, was employed by Wilcor International, ConMed, and Waffle House. She was of the Episcopal faith.

Rosie had a special love for the holidays and always enjoyed decorating and making each season festive. She also loved gardening and tending to her flowers. In her free time, she enjoyed online shopping, playing bingo, and creating diamond art. Rosie had a generous heart and will be remembered for the love and kindness she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Martin “Marty” Vincent; her son, Sampson Watkins; her stepdaughter, Melissa Sents; six siblings and several half-siblings; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her son, Bodacious Morehouse.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice & Palliative Care for the compassionate care provided to Rosie and for helping to keep her comfortable during her final hours. They would also like to thank everyone who came together to celebrate Rosie’s life and offer their love and support.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica.
