Ronnie L. Sewell, 52, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

He was born on April 18, 1974, in Dothan, Alabama, a son of Ora Patterson and the late Willie Copeland. In 2005, he married Kristina Lindsey in Alabama.

Ronnie was a devoted family man who cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. He especially enjoyed watching football with his boys, sharing in the excitement of the games and making lasting memories together. He also found great joy in being a grandfather and looked forward to taking his grandchildren to the park and playing basketball with them. These simple, special moments with his family meant the world to him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kristina Sewell Lindsey; his children, Tyron, Richard, Cam’ron, Darius, Ronnie and Aaron Sewell, Shantelle and Princess Lindsey; his cherished grandchildren, Zendaya, Kyzel, Toot and Ozzie; his mother, Ora Patterson; his siblings, Rachel Sewell, Chanuelly Hurd, Amber Sewell, Lorretta Copeland and Demetri Sewell; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica.
