Richard Lincoln Lane II, 56, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Utica, New York on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Richard was born in San Bernardino, California and is predeceased by his father, Richard L. Lane; his mother, Melva Lane and his brother Bear.
Richard traveled the country for the Veterans Association before landing in Florida where he first lived in the Orlando area and then Palm Bay, where he amassed a large network of friends. He then moved to Las Vegas where he met Daniel Pace and they quickly formed a bond. The last two years of Richard's life he dedicated his bigger than the world heart to taking care of Daniel.
He loved Rock and Roll music, animals, collecting “shinnies” as "The Seeker" and the underdog. He was a proponent for Animal Rights, Stopping Child Abuse, helping the homeless and the underserved, as well as Friends of Bill W.
Richard is survived by his close friend Daniel and his soul mate, Denise.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
“May God shine his eternal light on you and keep you safe from harm. Good night and God bless"
A graveside service will be on Monday, August 18, at 1:00 pm in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court at York Sts., Utica.
