Obituary

Peter G. “Jerry” Williams, 90, of Deerfield, passed away at home on March 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Utica, son of the late Joseph and Bertha Peck Williams. He graduated from UFA and attended MVCC. He married Della Hughes, the love of his life, on September 29, 1956, they would have been married for 70 years.

Jerry worked as an electrician at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company for forty-two years. He was a member of Westminster Moriah-Olivet Presbyterian Church and the St. David’s Welsh Society.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and going on vacations with them, he loved watching sports, especially the Buffalo Bills. He attended many sports events for his children and his grandchildren, which he really enjoyed.

He is survived by his loving wife Della; his children and their spouses MaryAnn (Richard) Coppola, David (Karen) Williams, Sharon (Keith) Lanahan, Peter, Jr. (Jill) Williams; his grandchildren Brian Coppola, Michelle Coppola, Kevin (Maggi) Coppola, Jennifer (Joseph) Mashtare, David Williams, Jr., Jonathan (Jayme) Lanahan, Steven (Kelley) Lanahan, Jordan (Vanessa) Lanahan and 14 beloved great- grandchildren; His brothers Edward (Becca) Williams and Robert Williams and several nieces and cousins.

He was predeceased by his his in-laws Owen and Jean Owen Hughes and a brother and sister-in-law David and Elaine Williams.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Wynn Hospital and Hospice Care Inc. for all their wonderful care.

Calling hours are on Saturday from 1-3 PM at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.
