Obituary

Penny S. Williams, 70, of Utica, died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Faxton St., Luke’s Healthcare.

She was born on December 9, 1952, in Illinois, a daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine Butler and was educated locally.

On August 20, 1970, Penny married, Thoams E. Williams in Mohawk, NY and he died on April 15, 2021.

Penny is survived by her seven children, Zoey Williams, Karen and Manuel Cotrich; Thomas E. Williams Jr. and his wife Lynette; Lisa Marie and her partner Tito Colon; Tanya Roman and her partner Mikey Santiago; Carrie DeRollo; and Shawn Williams and his wife Becky. She is also survived by many grandchildren: “Lil” Penny, Samantha, Alexandria, Kiernan, Taija, Selena, Anthony, Faith, Ryan, Remigio, Reina, Mercedes, and Danni; along with her 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, Utica.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Penny.
