Obituary

Paulette A. Russo, 67, of New Hartford, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

Paulette was born on December 7, 1958, in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Prisco “Doc” Russo and Patricia (Pole) Russo. She was a graduate of Proctor High School, Class of 1977.

Paulette worked in Food Service at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years. After retiring from St. Elizabeth’s, she continued working at ConMed.

Paulette was a very hard worker and was known for her generosity, kind heart, strong personality and her ability to always be the boss! She had many friends and never hesitated to lend a helping hand, you could always count on Paulette. She was especially known for bringing treats into the banks for their staff to enjoy and will be missed dearly by them.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Russo (Karen); her brother, Peter Russo; nieces, Karissa Smith and Patricia Russo; nephew, Tristan Russo; as well as many beloved cousins and close friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Prisco “Doc” Russo and Patricia (Pole) Russo.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Wynn Hospital, especially the 5th Floor and 8th Floor East staff, as well as the staff at ConMed, especially Ang and George, for their kindness and care.

Paulette’s calling hours will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery on Oneida Street, Utica.

In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Paulette’s memory.
