IN MEMORY

Patricia S. Davies, 91 of Marcy, NY died on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Abraham House in Rome, NY surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on August 24, 1933 in Rockland, IL, daughter of the late Bernard and Bessie (Sgroi) Licciardi. She graduated from Utica Free Academy and remained in Utica, NY where she was united in marriage to William H. Davies on September 30, 1953.

After starting her career at General Electric, Patricia paused her career to focus on raising her family. Once her children were grown, she returned to work with Howland Steinbach as a retail specialist in the jewelry department until retirement. In her golden years, she loved spending time with her grandkids, cooking, baking and playing cards with her family and friends. Her pastina soup, spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf, chocolate cream pie and Christmas cookies were just a few of her specialties that will be sorely missed. She took great pride in her recipes and kept them under wraps. Patricia never hesitated to share a modified version of her own to keep her family guessing and she took her culinary secrets to the grave.

Patricia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lori Davies, grandchildren Melanie (Ryan Essman), Adam (Rachel) Davies; a sister Peachy Circelli; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William in 2015 and son Gary in 1992 as well as her sisters Rose Tierney, Mae Harden, Mary Owens, Betty LaForest and brother Samuel Licciardi.

The family would like to give special thanks to her sister Peachy Circelli and nephew Scott Jones for their dedication, love and support to Pat during the last several years. A special thank you to her caregivers Dureen (Dee) Gray and Sheila Piseck as well as the staff at St Lukes Home MVHS Rehab and Nursing Center and the caring compassionate staff at the Abraham House in Rome NY.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 10:00 at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford, NY, with Fr. Servatious officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, July 18 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
