Obituary

Patricia Peto, 90, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at MVHS Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

She was born on February 3, 1936, in Ilion, New York, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Roberts) Williams and was educated in local schools. Patricia was married to C. Bernard Flynn, who predeceased her in 1969.

Patricia's greatest joy in life was her family. As the devoted mother of ten children, she dedicated her life to caring for and supporting them. In her quieter moments, she found enjoyment in reading, crocheting, and challenging herself with crossword puzzles.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Robert Flynn of Florida, Richard Flynn of Pennsylvania, Laurie Flynn, Lois Skiffington, Elizabeth Lewis, William Flynn, Karen Flynn and Thomas Robbins all from New York. She is also survived by many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Flynn, and her son, John Flynn.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of MVHS Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Patricia throughout her time there.

Services will be held at a later date and announced by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Patricia's memory.
