Obituary

Patricia Palmer, 75, of Utica, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

She was born on October 27, 1950, in Utica, a daughter of the late Hubert and Betty Heitzmann Murray.  She graduated from Sauquoit High School and Utica School of Commerce.  She worked with the Oneida County Probation Department for many years, retiring in 2019. 

Patricia was a member of Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish and sang in the choir at one time.  She loved animals and especially her cat.

She is survived by her sons, Stuart Palmer and his wife, Carissa of New Hartford, Chris Palmer (Barb Williams) of Utica and Craig Palmer of Utica; grandchildren, Stuart, Jr., Mason, Brandon and Alex; brother, Anthony Murray.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clayville.  Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wynn Hospital, especially the ER, Cardiology and the ICU departments.
