Patricia Ann Strickland, age 78, passed away on June 20, 2026, in Steuben, NY. Born on July 6, 1947, Patricia dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for others, both through her professional work as a nurse and in her personal life as a devoted family member and church leader. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Jamestown Community College and later a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Rochester, which paved the way for a distinguished career in nursing. Throughout her career as a nurse, Patricia served as a Nursing Instructor at Strong Memorial Hospital and Jamestown Community College, as a Head Nurse at Park Ridge Hospital in Greece, NY, and a PACU Nurse at Rome Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 2012.

Pat loved the Lord and served Him faithfully throughout her whole life. She was a devoted Christian and an active member of Redeeming Love Fellowship in Stittville, NY, where her funeral services will be held. From a young age, her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, influencing her life's work and her interactions with those around her. A dedicated teacher, she spent decades leading various Bible studies and classes for all ages at every church she attended, while always striving to instill a strong, vibrant faith in her children and grandchildren. Nowhere was her love for the Lord more evident than when she worshipped Him in song. She poured her heart into learning the piano and guitar, and she could often be found singing and leading worship in church throughout her life.

Pat lived for Christmas. Her passion for Christmas and handmade crafts enriched every holiday—she “decked the halls” top to bottom, hand-crafted Christmas ornaments and baked beloved cookies with her children and grandchildren. She hosted joyful parties and directed beautiful Christmas programs that wove traditions through generations, always mindful to keep the birth of her Savior at the center of her heart and celebrations.

In addition to her love for Christmas, she shared a love for classic cars, motorcycle trips, boating, and the 1000 Islands with her husband and family. She spent many summers cruising to car shows in classic cars, going on long motorcycle trips with her husband and friends, or making memories on the St. Lawrence River on the boat with her husband and family near Alexandria Bay, NY.

Pat leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Reid Strickland; daughter, Lucinda Rowlands, and her husband Dan; grandchildren Collin and Caedyn Rowlands; daughter, Melanie Corelli, and her husband Tim; grandchildren Joshua Corelli and his wife Alyssa, Caleb Corelli and his wife Aniyah; son, Andrew Strickland, and his wife Kessa Strickland; and grandchildren Corbin, Colton, and Kieran Strickland. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalind Lesher, and brother, Michael Lesher.

Patricia Ann Strickland leaves behind a profound legacy defined by faith, devotion, and a tireless work ethic. Her deep love for the Lord served as a constant anchor for her family, with whom she built beautiful, lasting traditions. She will be missed beyond measure by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Celebration of Life will be held at Redeeming Love Fellowship at 9011 NY-365, Stittville, NY 13469 on Friday July 10th at 4pm.
