New Hartford- Mildred (Dougherty) Randall, a lifelong New Hartford resident entered into rest with her loving family by her side on February 3, 2019. She was 89 years old.

Born October 20, 1929 in New Hartford, New York, she was the daughter of Stanley and Annabelle (Warren) Dougherty. She graduated from New Hartford Senior High School.
Mildred retired from St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital after 25 years of service in the radiology department.

On May 28, 1948 at St. Francis DeSales Church in Utica, she married her once in a lifetime, true love, Raymond E. Randall Sr. Raymond predeceased her in 2003 after 55 years of marriage.

Mildred was a devoted Catholic and lifetime member of St. John’s Evangelist Church in New Hartford. This parish family, especially Wanda Gregory and Sue Cavo were faithfully devoted to Mildred while she was infirmed.

Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was happiest when giving to others. She spent a lifetime providing nurturing love, and service to others, with a glad heart.

Mildred’s hobbies and interests were many, but her travels to San Diego, North Carolina, Plano, Texas and her love of country music by George Strait were by far her favorites.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Cavoli and her husband, Donald Sr. of New Hartford, Darryl Randall of Seattle, WA and Lynn Sabroff, Dianne Del Medico and her husband, John of New Hartford, Raymond Randall Jr. of Massachusetts, and Eloise (Ellie) Samson and husband, Darren of LaGrangeville, NY. Mildred is also survived by her grandchildren, Donald Cavoli, Dale Cavoli and wife, Rebecca, Shannon Randall, Kelly Randall, Tiffany Bloss, Pamela Mustee and husband, Rich, Ashley DelMedico, Matthew Randall, Brittney Weiss and husband, Garrett, and Darren (DJ) Samson. In addition, she was blessed with six great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Mary Lee Burmaster of Florida and Duke, a brother Robert Dougherty and wife, Ethel of Wisconsin and was predeceased by her brother George Dougherty. She had a special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff, at the Sitrin Home, Mulberry House, especially Connie, Amanda, Elaine, and Mary. A special thank you to Craig Swalgin for his dedicated and compassionate care for our loving mother.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church in New Hartford on Thursday, February 7th at 10:30. There are no calling hours. The family will greet friends following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the local Stevens-Swan Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
