Michael R. Marley, 71, of New Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Wynn Hospital.
He was born on May 25, 1953, in Utica, and graduated from Holland Patent High School in 1971 and SUNY Geneseo in 1974. On August 21, 1976, Michael married Ann Yakuboski at St. Leo’s Church in Holland Patent. They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this year. He had a long and dedicated career with Utica National Insurance, where he worked for over 30 years. He valued the friendships made over those years.
Michael was a devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus–Holy Cross, Polish National Catholic Church. He cherished time spent coaching his daughters in softball and had a passion for traveling, reading, playing music, and golfing. His best memories were made taking family trips to Myrtle Beach every year.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Marley of New Hartford; his daughters, Laura Patterson and her husband, Sean, of North Carolina, Sarah Marley and her fiancée, Nic Ochoa, of Whitesboro, and Katie Marley of Clinton; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Liam Patterson.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Wynn Hospital and the Verona Cancer Center, as well as the team at Edwards Ambulance, for the compassionate care provided to Mike.
