Mary “Middi” A. McNally, 77, of Lee Center, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, with her loving husband of 40 years by her side.
She was born on March 27, 1945, in Utica, a daughter of the late Sherrill, Jr. and Jane Thomas Sherman. Mary married Kevin McNally on February 7, 1982 in Utica. For many years in St. Petersburg, FL, she was a private home caregiver.
Mary was a devout Catholic and proud member of the Carmelite Sisterhood of St. Petersburg FL. Mary had a great love for her family and touched everyone she met. She had a very special bond with “her angel” granddaughter Rozlynn. She was very much loved by the many people she encountered, and often was called an angel. She loved nature, from the warm sunshine of Florida, to the great beauty of Oregon, and the Adirondack Mountains of NY.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin McNally of Lee Center; children, Kelly McNally of Lee Center, Dan McNally of St. Petersburg, FL and Sean McNally of Portland, OR; granddaughter, Rozlynn McNally; siblings, Sherrill Sherman, John and Janny Sherman, Dianne Owens, Kate Longley, Elizabeth and Craig Williams and Patrick and Patty Sherman, sister in law, Linda Sherman; brother in law, Richard Zdyb; sister in law Kathleen McNally; predeceased by brother, Andrew Sherman; brother in law, Richard Longley, sisters in law, Sue Sherman, Karen Zdyb and MaryAnne Saunderhuft.
The funeral will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, (Lourdes Campus), 2222 Genesee St., Utica, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford prior to the Mass.
