Mary Lou Alexander, 83, of New Hartford, passed away on September 18, 2026.

Mary Lou was born in Detroit Michigan to the parents of Theodore and Dolly Olander. Mary Lou worked as a hairdresser from a young age up until her passing. She was a care giver to her parents, her mother in law, to her husband Peter and many fur babies, never letting her own difficulties get in the way of her dedication to family and friends.

The world lost a great person that day. An independent woman, who always looked through life with rose colored glasses,and with not much of a filter, but would do anything for anyone needing help. To all her friends up at the river, she would like it if you could water her flowers for her.

Mary Lou was pre deceased by her parents, Theodore and Dolly Olander, sister Judy Hefferon ,and her beloved husband Peter Alexander. Nephews Kevin and Ric Hefferon . Special beloved pets, mimi, bandit, and her bestie Loky.

Mary is survived by her family, Ted and Kim Hefferon Mike Bolson, Ashley and Tayler Bonaventura, great nieces and nephews Cheyann and Khalie , Kris and Camryn Hefferon, Dustin Zable, Korey and Katrina Hefferon, Kyle and many great great nieces and nephews. With so many special friends, and clientele, too long to list, she will be missed by all.

RIP Aunt Mini and take care of all who passed before you. Per Mary’s wishes there will be no services (She hated them). Raise a glass and plant some flowers!

Remember Mini as she was, a tough ol’ girl who made a difference in all our world. Rest easy now, you deserve it.
