In Memory of Mary Ann Boyle Seitz

Obituary

Mary Ann Boyle Seitz of East Rochester, New York passed away at her home on May 23, 2023. She was 87 years old. Mary Ann was a native Utican, having been born on October 15, 1935. She was the only daughter of late educators Gladys K. Boyle and William L. Boyle of Utica.

Ms. Seitz graduated from Hughes School, Utica in 1949 and from the Utica Free Academy in 1953. She then went on to graduate from St. Elizabeth Hospital College of Nursing, Utica.

Ms. Seitz was a Registered Nurse her entire career, having retired from St. John’s Nursing Home in Rochester, New York after caring for others for many years.

Ms. Seitz was formerly married to the late Roger J. Austin of Utica. She then married James Seitz in Rochester, New York.

She is survived by her five children, Judith Austin (Hubsch), Barbara Austin (Peck), Michael Austin, Phillip Austin and William Austin. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is survived too by her only brother, Dr. William L. Boyle, Jr. of New Hartford, New York.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
