Obituary

Martin Martinz, Jr., 30, of Utica, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

He was born on November 12, 1990, in Utica, a son of Martin Martinez, Sr. and Ana Maldonado. Martin graduated from Proctor High School in 2008 and attended MVCC. He worked at Masonic Care Community and St. Luke Home.

With his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors especially when he was camping and fishing. He also loved listening to music while fixing cars and cutting hair in his spare time and on long days he loved to drive his car around town.

He is survived by his mother, Ana Maldonado; step father, Luis Medina; father, Martin Martinez, Sr.; wife, Stephanie Mercado; children Javien Martin Martinez and Elisia Mariana Martinez; siblings, Richi Nadal, Kevin Medina and his wife, Aneyia and Cynthia Medina; father-in-law, Wilfredo Mercado and his wife, Jessica; mother-in-law, Maribel Nieves and her husband, god daughter, Avery Clair Margaret Decoursey and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stefan Medina and uncle Pedro Maldonado.

The services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services.
