Obituary

Marion S. Papinsick, 86, of Utica, died July 31, 2023, at the Masonic Care Community.

She was born October 19, 1936, in Mahoning Valley, PA, daughter of the late Emery and Susan Nothstein. She graduated from Lehighton High School. Marion married Robert Papinsick, November 22, 1956. Robert died June 17, 2023.

They moved to Detroit, MI where she worked for Travelers Insurance. She later worked for Goodway printing when they moved to Utica.

She volunteered for the Faxton Hospital and served many years at Westminster Presbyterian Church thrift shop, where she enjoyed meet many of the nicest people.

Marion enjoyed baking and did it once a month with Arlene and Bea for coffee hour at church and she was always looking for a new recipe.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Susan Papinsick of Bow, NH; her granddaughter Annelise Papinsick of Bow, NH. She was predeceased by two brothers Edward and Nelson and a sister Eva Spohn and her two-day old son and a best friend Barbara Osterman.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in Forest Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
