Obituary

Maria Abbott-Hyde, 53, of the Town of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2017.

She was born August 12, 1964 in Norwich, NY daughter of Donna Winner Abbott and the late Michael Abbott. She graduated from SUNY Morrisville.

Maria married Robert B. Hyde August 10, 2013.

She has been employed for over 30 years with the Leatherstocking Insurance Co., in Cooperstown, NY.

Maria enjoyed traveling, especially to Cape Cod.

She is survived by her husband Robert and his children Erica (Matt) Hutchins of Oriskany Falls and Robert (Faith) Hyde, Jr. of Oneida; her mother Donna Abbott; her sister Michelle (James) Murphy of Canastota; her brothers John (Linda) Abbott of Endicott, NY and Joe Abbott of Rochester, NY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father she was pre-deceased by her brother Joseph Abbott.

The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 29 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department, 5733 State Highway 20, East Springfield, NY 13333.
