Obituary

Margaret Rose Maser, 70, of Utica and formerly of Frankfort, died on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Siegenthaler Center.

She was born on February 10, 1951, in Ilion a daughter of the late Albert and Brunhilde Gerasch Spine. Margaret graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School in 1969 and continued her education at MVCC. She married Kenneth Maser in August of 1977 in Frankfort. She was long time teacher’s assistant with BOCES and worked at various schools.
With her free time, she enjoyed going to the Casino, shopping trips and the most important thing she enjoyed was spending time with her daughter KrIsty.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Maser of Utica; daughter, Kristy Maser of Utica; brother-in-law, Joseph Favat, Sr; nephew, Joseph Favat, Jr.; great nephew, Jameson Favat and a special friend Lilly Dibble. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Favat.

The family would like to offer a special thank you all the staff on the 6th floor at Faxton St. Luke’s Health Care and at the Siegenthaler Center for all the care given to Margaret.

The funeral will be on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Calling hours will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm prior to the funeral. COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
