Obituary

Linda L. Camelo, 85, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Wynn Hospital.

She was born on May 19, 1940, in Chester, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James and Edith (Dunagan) West. Linda attended local schools and was a graduate of the Utica School of Beauty Culture. On July 6, 1957, she married Joseph Camelo at St. Patrick’s Church in Utica. Joseph predeceased her on July 4, 2019.

Linda attended Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish. She loved watching the New York Yankees and was an avid fan.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Cynthia Camelo; her daughter in law, Katrina Camelo; her grandsons, Nicholas and Joseph Camelo; her great-grandchildren, Ariah, Santino, Juliano, Carmine, and Giordano; and her great-great-grandchildren, Emersyn and Jayden. She was predeceased by her son, Nicholas Camelo, and her brother, Thomas West.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford.
