Obituary

Lawrence Pisano Sr., age 67, of Utica, NY, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2025.

He was born on November 8, 1957, in Utica, NY, son of John and Josephine Pisano. Larry was educated in Utica Free Academy.

Larry married Christine Dewey in 1987, at St. Anthony’s church in Utica, NY. He had a diverse career. He was a man of many talents. From being a business owner to working with his hands as a contractor, Larry could do it all. He was also a member of St. Anthony’s church in Utica.

Larry’s true passion was his music. Anyone who knew and loved Larry, also loved to hear him play his guitar.

He is survived by Christine Pisano, his best friend who he shared 30 years of marriage with. Together they share two children; son, Lawrence Pisano Jr., Airman in the United States Navy, of Utica, NY, stationed in Washington, DC; and daughter, Katelyn Pisano, of Utica, NY; brothers, John Pisano (Elizabeth), of Utica, NY, and Louis Pisano, of Utica, NY; many nieces and nephews ; as well as his three grandchildren who he cherished very much; Salvatore Jr. (10), Mia (8), Ava (6), and their father Salvatore Ruggiero Sr., of Utica, NY.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine (Pape) Pisano; and his nephew, Michael D. Nilsson, who he loved like a son.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, at 12:00PM at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Tilden Ave, Utica, NY.
