IN LOVING MEMORY

KAREN CLARICE SULLIVAN, Clinton, NY, passed away unexpectedly March 24, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.

Born August 18, 1947, in Chicago, IL, to parents Charles and Clarice Lee.  She was raised in New Hartford and is a graduate of New Hartford High School and Utica School of Commerce. Karen was united in marriage to Thomas Sullivan on June 7, 1969, at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. She was employed at Mohawk Valley Community College for 35 years, retiring in 2002.

Karen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Sullivan; sister, Donna Sylvester (Raymond), Whitesboro, NY; brothers, Charles Lee (Carol), Mentor, OH, James Lee (Carol), Whitesboro, NY: sister-in-law, Mary Sullivan and Bonnie Dye, New York Mills, NY.  She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews, who lovingly referred to her as Aunt “Tootsie”.  In addition, she leaves behind many good friends in New York and Florida.

Karen will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.  A graveside service will he held on May 11, 2026, at 11:00 am, officiated by Deacon Tony Paparella of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Whitesboro, NY. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
