In Memory of John F. Beetz

Obituary

John F Beetz, age 92 of the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford passed away August 5th, 2017.

John was born in Utica, NY July 9, 1925, the son of John and Rose Beetz. John was a graduate of Whitesboro Central School.

He was a lifetime aviation enthusiast and model builder. During his early years he won many contests in the local area, one which included a flight to Albany . During WWII he built airplane recognition models for Navy pilots and was awarded a certificate of Captain for his efforts.

John attended many training schools out of state in the field of Heating, Air Conditioning and Drafting. John retired as a sales engineer after 35years at Climatemaster(formerly International Heater Co).

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Simmons on June 11, 1949.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy of 68 years, his daughter Nancy Cave and husband Bill, FL, son Jack and wife Cathy, IL, three grandchildren, Cristina, Jeffrey, and Jason, three great-grandchildren, Ambria, Chaise and Kaden.

Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, New Hartford. His funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Mt Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
