Obituary

John Algustowski, 67, passed away on Monday, Aug 14th 2023 at the Grand Nursing Home due to complications of diabetes.

He was born in Utica on December 14, 1956, the son of Edward Algustowski and Doris Sunderlin. He was raised in Utica and attended Holy Trinity and UFA. John was employed with Indium Corporation for many years until his retirement.

His hobbies included playing basketball, watching football and taking trips to local casinos, which he really enjoyed.

He was predeceased by his brothers and sister, Timothy Sr, Edward Jr., and Judy Algustowski.

John is survived by his wife Kathleen Algustowski and his two daughters; Carolann and Andy Crabtree, Doris and Chris Testa, his two brothers Peter Algustowski, Steven Richards, three sisters, Bonnie and Bryce Schmidt, Tina Algustowski, Elizabeth Nardelli. Also included are John’s 2 grandchildren, Christianna and Christopher Testa.

Private gathering at the family discretion. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services.
