Obituary

Joan E. Walser passed away on March 27, 2026, at Bethany Gardens, Rome, N.Y. as a result of injuries sustained during a home invasion in June 2024.  

Joan was born on February 21,1939, to Joseph and Marian Walser.  

She was predeceased in death by her daughter, Patricia Malin and her sister, Eileen Gibson.  Joan is survived by her brother, Robert (Sandra) Walser of Palm City, FL; along with 7 nieces and 1 nephew and two dear friends, Annmarie LeClair and Robert Kowalsky.

Services will be held at a later date to be announced.  Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
