In Memory of Jane Gray Feltus

Obituary

Jane Gray Feltus, 94, of Baldwinsville, NY and formerly of New Hartford was reunited with her loving husband, Russell H Feltus on December 22, 2021.

Jane was born on September 26, 1927, to Roland C. and Eleanor Singer Gray.

Jane attended Cornell University. She was married on April 28, 1951, to her husband, Russ. Together Jane and Russ raised their four children in New Hartford, NY.

For many years Jane worked at Reid Sheldon & Co., where she was adored by both her customers and her colleagues. She was affectionately known as “the cake lady” as she was known to bake her favorite recipes to celebrate her co-worker’s birthdays.

Jane loved to travel with Russ and their many lifetime friends.

She served on the Board of the Sunset Home, Faxton Hospital and Meals on Wheels.

Jane enjoyed meeting with her friends regularly to play Bridge as well as enjoying special social gatherings.

She is survived by her four children, Christine of Wisconsin, Joey (Denis) of North Carolina, Russ (Linda) of Baldwinsville and Lynn (Jessica) of Wynantskill, NY. Jane has 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren: a sister-in-law Nancy Gray and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, her two brothers Chester and Robert.

Jane will be joining her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
