He was born September 11, 1936, in Buffalo, NY a son to the late Bernard and Katherine Waligur Kreutzer. He graduated from Canisius College with a degree in business. Jim married the love of his life, Jane Law on August 6, 1960 in Cheektowaga, NY. They enjoyed their life together for 52 years before Jane’s passing on July 14, 2012.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church of New Hartford, and an active member of the New Hartford Fire Department for 45 years where he served as Director and Past President. He was formerly a Boy Scout Troop Leader which gave him the opportunity to share his love of the outdoors.

The time he spent with family at Otter Lake and in the Adirondacks provided his most cherished memories. Jim enjoyed backpacking, hiking, fishing and canoeing. The friends he made while serving as a member of the New Hartford Fire Department were considered his second family.

He is survived by two daughters: Susan DiBernardo of Colonie and Amy Kearney and her husband John Kearney of New Hartford; his grandchildren Annah and Sarah DiBernardo and Colleen Kearney. He was pre-deceased by his brother Bernie Kreutzer and his sister Jean DiNanno.
