Frances Mary Zalocha passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Abraham House in Rome, New York.

Frances was born in Utica to Louis and Mary Stolarczyk Gacek on August 17, 1925. She attended St. Stanislaus School and Proctor High School.

Frances was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and was married to Joseph S. Zalocha on June 17, 1947.

She was employed at Univac for 13 years until its closing, and then at Hamilton Digital, retiring in 1988 after 11 years of employment.

Frances was predeceased by Joseph, her loving husband of 57 years, her three sisters Caroline Stolarczyk, Ann Pietryka, and Josephine Gacek, and three brothers, Stanley, Walter and Edward.

She leaves her two sons Paul and his wife Barbara of Falls Church, Virginia and Mark “Zak” Zalocha and his wife Victoria Orsino-Zalocha of Sauquoit, New York.

Frances also leaves her devoted niece Lorraine Plamondon, her children Anne and husband Dr. Tom McNamara, Peter and wife Gail, and Jim and wife Cary, and grandchildren all of Maryland, along with a devoted and much loved nephew Stanley Gacek and wife Barbara and their children, of Orlando, Florida, her sisters-in-law Virginia Pieloch of Utica and Helen Bazan of Florida.

Her dear friends were Rose Brescia, Bernice Bruno, Jennette Fliss, Kay Nichols, Anne Salvatore, and Carm Valent. She also leaves a special friend Virg with whom she shared many happy times together. She will be remembered by all members of the Orsino family and appreciated all their love and support over the years.

A celebration of life will be held on May 22, 2021 with a Catholic Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart and Saint Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in New York Mills, followed by a graveside service at St Stanislaus & St Casimir Cemetery on Woods Road in Whitesboro.
