Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” Zuck, age 98, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully at Masonic Care Community, Utica, NY, on May 11, 2026. She was the mother of local optometrist Allen Zuck, OD.

She was the daughter of Claude and Florence Fogel of Allentown, PA, sister of the late Claude Fogel. She was predeceased by her husband, John Zuck, of Allentown, PA.

Betty attended Allentown Schools, followed by a 37 year career with the Macungie home office of Mack Trucks in inventory control.

Besides her son, Dr. Allen Zuck and his wife Patricia, Betty is survived by grandchildren, Daniel (Erin) Zuck and Dr. Michelle (Gregory) Herczeg; great grandchildren, Avery and Rhys Zuck, and Eva Marie Herczeg; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. 

A calling hour will be held at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services at 13 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026. The funeral service will follow calling hours at 4:30 PM. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, PA, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
