Elizabeth (Betty) Bansbach, age 64, was called home to be with the Lord, suddenly but peacefully, with her loved ones at her side, on October 18, 2023.

She was born on August 12, 1959 in France, where her father was stationed with the military. She is the daughter of John and Dorothea Ferry of Clinton, NY. She earned her nursing degree and remained dedicated to her profession for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Bansbach, Mother, Dorothea Ferry, Sisters Kathleen Ferry and Rebecca Schafer, niece Brittany Schafer, Daughters Katie (Patrick) Wylie, Holly (Chris) Borowiec, Sarah (Greg) Mathias and her beloved grandchildren, Liam, Jake, Angelina, Madeline and Charlotte.

To know Betty, was to love her. She was selfless without hesitation and her warm smile and infectious laugh were gifts all on their own. She was unwavering and steadfast in her love and commitment to those in her care, her family and friends and her precious pets.

Betty was an avid gardener, shopper, decorator and animal lover. She found the beauty in all seasons, but especially Autumn and the holiday season. Gathering friends and family and enjoying the simple comforts in life brought her tremendous fulfillment and joy.

Betty adored her children and grandchildren. She was the "rock" of our family and the magnitude of her love will be eternally felt by all who knew and loved her.

Her family would like to thank SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY, Oncology floor unit 10E for bestowing their care and compassion towards Betty and her family.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 25th, at 10:00 am at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Oct. 24th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in her honor.
