Obituary

Drew F. Lockwood, 32, of Sauquoit and formerly of Whitesboro, passed unexpectedly on Sunday March 15, 2026 due to an accidental overdose.

He was born on December 13, 1993, in New Hartford, the son of Dale H. Lockwood, Jr., and Katherine Pitman.

Drew loved his dogs (beloved Stella), cats and turtles…but mostly his family…especially his niece and nephews

Drew was a beautiful young man in every way, truly one of a kind…our family is broken…now we owe it to him to somehow fix it…there will always be a place at the table for you, Drew…

He is survived by his mother Kathy Vogel, his father Dale H. Lockwood, Jr.; his siblings Kandace Lockwood (Alex Woodward), Koren Lockwood (Elan Spreiser) , Dale H. Lockwood, III ( Elizabeth), Chase Vogel, his grandparents Dale H. Lockwood, Sr. and John Romanow and Mary Ellen Ferguson, his niece Luna, and nephews Judah and Dale IV, “special brothers” Brett Jones, Geoffrey Raehm, Lynde Schultz, his uncle, James Pitman and his wife Julia and their children and uncle Jason Ferguson, and a host of friends too numerous to mention though you know who you are! Also his beloved dog, Loki and cat, Astra.

He was predeceased by his grandparents George and Sophie Pitman and Janice Tofani Nappi.

Calling hours are on Friday, March 20th from 4-6 PM at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anita’s Stevens-Swan Humane Society, in Drew’s memory.
