Diane J. (Nowak) Nobles, age 71 of New Hartford, NY died peacefully in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was born and raised in Utica, NY a daughter of Leonard J. Nowak and Alfreda T. (Bazan) Nowak. Diane was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and Utica College. In 1974, she married David Nobles at Holy Trinity Church; A loving union shared for over 49 years. Diane often said, “It’s easy to be married for nearly 50 years; but to the same person? Now that’s something special!”. They created a family built on faith, devotion and love, raising Lauren, Kristen and Jonathan together. The family’s bond was exemplified during Diane’s fight, each member supporting and drawing strength from the others.

Diane was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in New Harford and was an Adorer at Perpetual Adoration at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church. Diane prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet regularly, finding solace in the words and entrusting herself to God's merciful love.

One of her greatest joys was child development. Diane’s love for our younger generations was ever-present throughout her life, both in her support of the parents and the care of the children themselves. Whether as a mother, grandmother, child care giver, nursery school teacher, or religious education teacher, her passion and love for children and education was on full display. She opened her home and heart whenever it was needed to provide love and care for numerous children. She was never happier than when she was reading a book or playing a game, igniting a spark of curiosity and a love of learning in the young minds around her. Her legacy will live on through the countless children and parents she touched with her dedication and love.

Diane is survived by her husband, David Nobles (New Hartford, NY); her children and their spouses, Lauren & Bradley Hunt (Marblehead, MA), Kristen & Ryan Flansburg (Reading, MA) and Jonathan & Kelly Nobles (Orlando, FL); her grandchildren Eveline & Andrew Hunt (ages 6 & 4), Mara & Remy Flansburg (ages 11 & 9) and Hudson & Ellis Nobles (ages 7 & 5); her siblings and their spouses, Lynne & Phillip Collis (Gainesville, FL) and Robert & Kathy Nowak (Sahuarita, AZ), countless friends, students, cousins, nieces, nephews, and 11 God children! We would be remiss if we did not mention one very special cousin; Mary Ann Hughes, our CMA, who has always provided immeasurable support to Diane and her entire family.

Diane was predeceased by her mother and father, Alfreda & Leonard Nowak, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marguerite & John Nobles.
Diane’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Julie Gorczynski, RPA-C, Dr. Manzurul Sikder and the Slocum Dickson Medical Group as well as Dr. Danielle Wallace and the medical team at the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Center.
