Cindy Lynn Lamphere, 61, of Utica NY, passed away on January 11 2021, surrounded by her family.

Cindy, born on February 16, 1959 to the late Burton H Lamphere and Shirley M Rice Lamphere in Utica, Cindy immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Cindy went to UFA in Utica and later on in life went on to get her G.E.D. an accomplishment she was very proud of.

Cindy had 8 Children, Michael Lamphere, Lee Recknall, Candy Bogdanowicz, Dominic Lamphere, Renee Lamphere, Shirley Lamphere, Mamie Washington, Tabitha Lamphere. She also had several Nieces and Nephews and all her kid's friends that she loved as her own children and whom shared her home at some point.

Cindy was an avid reader and loved her puzzles and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found with her nose in a book working on a jigsaw puzzle or her Sudoku books. We will miss her greatly.

Cindy was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all 8 of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Cindy, a value she instilled in all those around her. She may not have had a lot but she had a lot of love and for that she was rich. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Cindy had 16 Grandchildren whom she loved with everything she had. Lee Leddick, Erica Lamphere, Jha’Nasia Reed, Elizabeth Lamphere, Willie Reed, Xavier Horner, Sarah Bogdanowicz, Desitny Reed, De’Miyah Stewart, Emma Lamphere, Paul Hence, De’Marion Henderson, Dominic Lamphere Jr., Anthony Hence, De’Marcus Henderson, De’Ziyah Henderson.

Cindy was predeceased by her son Lee and her sister Bonnie Mullen. She is survived by Burton Lamphere III, Irene Strohl and her children Michael Lamphere, Candy and Edward Bogdanowicz, Dominic Lamphere and Amanda Jones, Renee Lamphere, Shirley Lamphere, Mamie Wahington and Tabitha Lamphere, and a very dear and special friend Linda Knapp Daley.
