In Memory of Charles E. Kent

Obituary

Charles E. Kent, 70, lifelong resident of Utica, NY, died at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Utica, on February 13, 2024.

Charles was born on November 21, 1953, in Utica, the son of Eugene and Harriet (Donnelly) Kent. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and went on to complete an Associates degree from MVCC. He worked as a licensed HVAC technician at Presbyterian Home, a plumber and pipefitter at Oneida Limited, and a certified boilerman at Mele Manufacture.

On May 26, 1979 Charles married Mary (Warburton) Kent, from that marriage came their son Sean E. Kent and daughter Brenda M. Kent.

Charles loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing up at his parents’ camp on Chase Lake.

Charles is survived by his daughter Brenda M. Kent and her fiancé Jacob Doyle ; and his former wife Mary Kent.

Charles was predeceased by his son Sean E. Kent ; and his parents Eugene and Harriet Kent.

A Funeral service will be held at Mount Olivet on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00am. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
