Obituary

Charles E. Donlon, 67, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

He was born on May 17, 1958, a son of the late Clifford Parmeter and Doris Mushak. Charles married the former Deanna Welfel in 1980 in Utica; she predeceased him on May 7, 2016. He was self-employed in sales.

Charles is survived by his children, Henry Donlon and his wife, Sara, Charles E. Donlon, Jr., and Philip Donlon and his wife, Maria, all of Utica; his grandchildren, Jebadia, Robert, Tyler, Isabella, Caitlin, Quentin, Ashley, Miley, Devin, Kaleb, Charles III, Poppy, and Justin; many great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Joe, Mike, Jennett Debbid, and Aggie Donlon.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa Donlon; his grandson, Philip Donlon, Jr.; his granddaughter, Brianna Donlon; his sister, Cindy Davis; and his nephews, Benjamin Davis and Douglas Parker.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at Wynn Hospital for the care and comfort given to Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court Street at York Street, Utica. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
