Obituary

Carolyn (Cally) Pruyn Hudson, age 89, of Waterville, NY and formerly of Midland Michigan and Pleasant Hills, PA., died in her sleep in Clinton, NY on August 28, 2021.

Carolyn was born on April 14, 1932 in Bronxville, NY, daughter to Howard Sewall Pruyn and Carolyn Decker Pruyn. She was educated at St Lawrence University where she met her husband Kirk Arthur Hudson. They were married in September of 1952 and graduated from St Lawrence in 1953.

Carolyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Utica and was also a member of the choir. She was on the board of the RCIL, was a member of PEO and in her younger days she served on the National Ski Patrol.

She is survived by her sister Martha Judson and her daughters Carolyn Hudson and Elizabeth Hudson Purcell and her grandson Kirk David Bacon and his wife Esther and her great granddaughter Kai Juri Bacon.

Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, the Rev Dr. Kirk A Hudson and her sons Kirk Andrew Hudson and Robert Arthur Hudson.

The family would like to thank Teresa Coss and her wonderful children Colton and Rylee for the care love and affection that they showed to Cally over the past 7 years,

There will be a Memorial service at First Presbyterian Church in Utica on November 5, 2021 at 11:00am. Refreshments at the church to follow.
