Obituary

Carol S. Peckham, 88, of Raleigh, NC formerly of Utica, NY, died on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Transitions Life Care in Raleigh, NC.

She was born on July 18, 1935, in Utica, a daughter of the late Maynard and Minnie Christ Sears. She graduated from UFA and attended Oneonta State. Carol married Paul Marmelstein in 1998. She worked for the NY Telephone Company and later at Steinbach’s.

She was a member of West Schuyler United Methodist Church and Red Hat Society. With her free time, she enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Darlene Crawford and her husband, Paul; sons, Edward Peckham and his wife, Theresia, David Peckham and his wife, Betsy and Keith Peckham and his wife, Kristen; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; step daughter, Beth Mac; step son, Thomas Marmelstein; three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren

The services will be held at a later day to be announced at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
