Anthony "Tony" DeNigro, of Utica, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Wynn Hospital with his loving family by his side. Anthony was born in Utica, a son of the late Anthony and Frances DeNigro on June 1st of 1931. He was educated locally and attended Utica Free Academy, where he played football and his team went undefeated from 1947-1948. He later went on to further his education at Utica College. He also served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. Anthony retired from New York State Department of Transportation where he met his wife, Joan and shared a blessed union of 56 years together. Later in life, he owned and operated DeNigro Land Surveying for over 40 years. There he developed many wonderful friendships, especially Al Forte, Pauly Mancuso, Russell Miller and Phil LaBella. As a licensed surveyor, he taught his son, Richard, the business, who worked alongside him for many years until his retirement.

Anthony was a loving husband, a generous father, a wise uncle and a proud grandfather. He was a man of Catholic faith and held his morals close. Anthony had strong family values and patriotism towards his country. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and was an avid football fan. He spent a lot of time in Sylvan Beach with good food, friends and family. He had so much wisdom to share and was happy any time he was surrounded by family.

Anthony is survived by his three children, Dianne, Richard, Gary and daughter in law, Tina DeNigro. He leaves behind two grandsons, Richard Jr. and Cinello DeNigro. He also leaves behind his sister in law, Denise Saccal, nieces, Raelene Murray and Justine and husband, Anthony Testa. He had a special relationship with his great nieces, Giada and Zayna Testa. He leaves behind nephews, Joey, Dan (Kim), and Mark (Linda) Saccal of Florida, nieces and nephew, Shireen, Darice and Anthony of Texas and cousins, Wayne & Mary Catherine Hosey and George & Joanne Amendolare. Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Joan DeNigro,  parents, Anthony and Frances DeNigro, in laws, Jerry and Josephine Saccal, brother in laws, Norman and Joseph Saccal, and nephew, Jerry Saccal.
