Anna Marie Humiecki, age 81, of Yorkville formerly of South Utica died April 30th at 6:20 am after a long struggle with Dementia, she was born Anna Marie Joseph in Utica. Daughter of Joseph George Joseph and Nellie Joseph. She was educated at Our Lady of Lourdes and a graduate of Utica Free Academy.
She married Henry Humiecki September 24th 1966 in Utica.
Anna worked at the Ramada Inn in New Hartford for 20 years as the head of housekeeping. She was a member of St. Louis Gonzaga Church. Anna was an Artist and crafter. She was also an avid reader; she loved Suspense and Thriller novels, Steven King being her favorite. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. What was most important to her was caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Henry Humiecki. Two sisters, Leah Merlino of New Hartford, Joan Aboussleman of Utica. Two children and their families, Laura and George Wilbur of Yorkville, Lisa and Matthew George of Yorkville. Four grandchildren Joseph Wilbur and fiance Karissa Weaver of New Hartford, Carissa Black and fiance' Nicholas DelMartino of Schenectady, Landon and Pation George of Yorkville. Also several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Martin Joseph Of Clinton.
The family would like to thank the Wynn Hospital ER staff and nurses for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to us and our mother. Also to Juli from Friedel Williams and Edmund for helping us during our time of grief.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
