Ann C. Snyder, 83, of New Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Wynn Hospital.

Born on September 12, 1942, in Utica, New York, Ann was the daughter of the late Dominick and Rose (Lewis) Spinella. She graduated from New Hartford High School in 1960 and continued her education at the Utica School of Commerce.

In 1962, Ann married the love of her life, George Snyder, at St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting memories. Ann worked alongside George for many years in the family business, Snyder's Brooms & Wool Dusters.

Ann's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whether gathered around the kitchen table for a game of Yahtzee, teaching them how to play poker, or sharing stories and laughter. Summer trips to Sylvan Beach were among her favorite traditions, especially spending time at the arcade playing Fascination, a game she loved, and one that became a treasured family pastime. Ann also enjoyed trying her luck at the casino, but what she valued most were the moments spent creating memories with the people she loved.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, George, of New Hartford; her children, Christopher Snyder of New Hartford, Tammy

Manderville and her husband Craig of Waterville, and Timothy Snyder and his wife Christine of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Daniel Lent, Nicole Pollard and her husband Chris, Olivia Sommers and her husband Johnny, TJ Snyder and his wife Jessica, Matt Snyder and his wife Laura, Amanda Barone, Joshua Snyder and his wife Lauren, Noah Snyder, and Caleb Snyder; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Ann's life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 66 Oxford Road, New Hartford, on July 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Anita's Stevens Swan Humane Society in Ann's memory.
