A. Theresa (Terry) Donoghue Foley, 89, of New Hartford, died on Monday, April 16, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Terry was born on September 1, 1928, in Oswego a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Donoghue. She attended Oswego High School and in 1950, she graduated from Crouse Irving Nursing School. After graduating from Crouse, Terry entered the United States Army until 1954 and was stationed at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center. She married Walter Foley on January 22, 1955, at Base Chapel II at Ft. Sam Houston.

Terry was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes and at one time volunteered for the Red Cross with the blood mobile. She also was a member Yahnundasis Golf Club where she played tennis and played golf with the Lady 9 hole group. She look forward to her time at their camp in Old Forge where she enjoyed kayaking and skiing in her younger years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter; son, Thomas M. Foley and his wife, Joy of Mt. Orab, OH; granddaughter, Felicia M. Foley Middleton and her husband, David of Newport, KY; a special friend whom was viewed like a daughter, Angela T. Kramer of Ft. Thomas, KY, mother of Felicia; sister, Emma Grasso of Oswego, NY; nieces, Margie Bower and her husband Gary, Jeanne Trionfero and her husband, Marshall; and Becky Master and her husband, Herk; nephews, Phillip Grasso and his wife, Toni; and Lloyd Smith and his wife Alice; and several nieces and nephews on the west coast. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret and Mary; brothers, Thomas, Robert and infant bother Edward.

The family would like to thank the staff on the ICU at St, Elizabeth Medical Center for the special care given to Terry.

The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery later this spring. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
