Wes and I went to high school together. He was a great guy then and it, from the obituary, shows he will be greatly missed.

I've known Wes for a lot of years...back to when He worked in Pok. the first time.
he was my manager in Endicott. I recently tried to remember all of them . I stopped counting at 22 in my 33 years. He was definitely in the top 2. He probably
would have been number 1 only if I worked for him longer.
I never felt Wes was a managing sense. He made a maximum effort to understand the minutia of my job. He did not check the boxes when it came to evaluation time. Most importantly he stuck behind me on decisions I made when there was any disagreement with other managemt in IBM.
I ate hundreds of lunches in the IBM cafeterias in Glendale, Endicott, and even in
Pok. when I ran into him there. Why do I mention this? Because I think it is a
unifying and bonding experience. I seldom ever in 33 years had lunch with my
manager.
HE WAS NOT A BOASTFUL MAN. I thought I knew a lot about Wes. When I obit, I was floored by all he was involved with. I tried to find out more about Wes when I heard about passing and got on internet pages for his mom and dad
What an amazing collection of civic and voluntary community service .
It is evident who guided Wes to all of the selfless endeavors he filled his life with. As my old grand mother from Ireland used to say " IF YOU PLANT POTATOES,,,,,,YOU GET POTATOES".

Karen and Wes's entire Family, we lost a good man, and people whose lives
he touched in the past 63 years will long remember him.

Rest in peace my friend
