Obituary

Suzanne (Hisert) Finegan, 71, of New Hartford, died September 12, 2018 at her home.

She was born January 19, 1947 in Utica daughter of the late Charles and Rita (Bennett) Hisert. She graduated from Holland Patent High School and Utica College of Syracuse University. She married Russell Finegan, Sr. in 1975. He predeceased her in 1999.

Suzanne was employed with Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center for 36 years as Sr. Recreational Therapist, retiring in 2006.

She enjoyed her home in Whitesboro and Old Forge Condo as well as golf, ski trips and many travels to PGA tournaments with her sister-in-law and late brother-in-law Lois and Ken Finegan. In retirement years she enjoyed time spent in Old Forge and at Gore Mountain with her companion William Boswell.

She was a member of the All American Fitness Center and the Fitness Mill, Snow Ridge, Gore Mountain, Valley View Golf Club, Thendara Golf Club, Crestwood Golf Club and Cedar Lake Golf Club.

Many thanks to family and friends, her sister-and-brother-in-law Joan and Bill Abel and niece Sue Gazzilli for all of their support for Suzanne. Special thanks to Dr. Sloan and Dr. Mary Cunningham for all of their care.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
